oh fuck yeah! taiga had scored big time in the local raffle with that weird ticket. it had seem inconsequential, but upon reading the fine text - or at least having someone do it for her - she figured out she could roll with the big boys, even if it was momentarily. the safari balls in her hand felt luxurious, making her cheese out into a large close-eyed grin. ready or not, she was coming for these pokemon with her charizard in tow as usual.[break]

OH HELL YEAH, now THAT is what she could call baby![break]
nonsensical thoughts aside, taiga did her best to muster up her 'trainer powers' despite knowing just enough about phanpy to understand she was at a disadvantage. then again, she didn't want to do a whole lot of damage to the poor cutie. she just wanted to tenderize it a bit and then catch it, so she ordered a quick flamethrower and happily tossed one of the four cool-looking safari balls at the darling, hoping to catch it to continue onwards soonafter. [break]

tirtouga cramped her style hard. her fire type pokemon would all collectively sneer at it but she decided to move on before it got to that point. the poor turtle pokemon had done nothing wrong. they'd go and find a new target to add to the squad.[break]

"gimme you!" taiga exclaimed excitedly at the applin as it bobbed forward and backward, rolling around over its ... eyes(?). what a weird pokemon. it sure was cute, though. it would make an excellent addition to the team. a flamethrower and safari ball toss later, she waited for the outcome.[break]

nobody would be able to understand what taiga was trying to hide from since she was out in the safari zone by herself, but she inched towards the ponyta little by little. the horse-type pokemon could not care less about this, idly munching on some grass, but taiga cleared her throat loudly - attempting to catch the darling pokemon's attention. it turned its head and she was offering it a nice little flower, blushing wildly because it was not in her 'fiery redhead' image to like cute pokemon like this. charizard, slightly jealous, blew out a flamethrower and taiga went to capture the distracted ponyta.[break]

the angels themselves descended at this moment to congratulate taiga and the union of her new baby of all babies to end all babies. while her charizard glared at the little fire type with some kind of envy, taiga did not give a rat's ass as she immediately went into a slow run towards it - tears streaming down her face. it was so damn cute. she would love it forever.[break]
of course, charizard gave a wing attack to weaken the poor thing before it got a second half of a physical assault in the form of taiga trying to stuff it into a pokeball.[break]
